A Letter from Your Newport Beach Police Association
Dear Community Members and Voters,
The Newport Beach Police Association believes strongly in being an active participant in local, county, and state elections. We understand that these elected officials have the important task of charting the course for our City government.
As with previous elections, our Political Action Committee (PAC) has taken the time to interview candidates who were willing to sit down with us. These candidates allowed us the opportunity for both sides to educate each other, express concerns, and provide input on the City’s current and future actions. There is no doubt all the candidates we spoke with are passionate about our community, and that is a sentiment we echo as we serve this beautiful city every day.
Giving a candidate the endorsement and/or support of the Newport Beach Police Association PAC is not something we take lightly. We look at many factors on a non-partisan basis. With careful consideration we are pleased to announce our endorsement for the following candidates: Diane Dixon, Kevin Muldoon, Duffy Duffield, and Scott Peotter.
We believe these candidates will work, both individually and as a team, to serve the city of Newport Beach in the best way possible and to protect the Public’s safety.
Additionally, we have confidently given our endorsement to Don Barnes for the office of Orange County Sheriff/Coroner.
We want to thank all candidates who took the time out of their busy schedules to meet with us. We look forward to working with the city council regardless of the outcome of elections.
Our association understands that elections can be contentious and sometimes the right choice for one person or group is not always the right choice for another. We believe that the most important thing is that you, as a resident, business owner, or community member get out and exercise your right to vote.
